| Results from Ultimate Wrestling's 'Retribution' November 3, 2007 Written by Brian Reese Edited by Diana Drake © Brain Reese and Ultimate Wrestling, 2007 The 1st match on the card actually turned out to be 3 matches in one,one right after the other. The 1st match were two combatants who made their ULTIMATE WRESTLING debut that night as it was Dimitri taking on "Cowboy" Johnny Wayne. Just about the time as they were beginning to lock up,the match came to an abrupt halt as music emanated throughout the PA system of the American Legion Post 33 announcing the arrival of Hellfire Club member "Brutal" Joe Gibson. Gibson was on the microphone expressing his bitter disdain upon the two men that were about to compete in the ring and said that if they wanted to make a name for themselves at UW,they had to go through him! Next thing that took place was a 3 Way Dance with Gibson added to the mix. The 3 Way Dance immediately turned out to be a 1-on-2 abomination by Joe Gibson upon the other 2 adversaries that he squared off against inside the squared circle. He finished off Dimitri as he Irish whipped him into the turnbuckle and Dimitri bounced off very disoriented only to have his head literally taken off his shoulders by Joe Gibson's Clothesline from Hades. Gibson then got his hands on Johnny Wayne, roughing him up and picking him up in a scoop body slam and slammed him on top of the unconscious Dimitri as he pinned both men in a arrogant, nonchalant manner placing his right foot on top of both men pinning them both for the 1-2-3. Feeling extremely confident about himself,Gibson got on the microphone and placed an open challenge to any wrestler backstage to oppose him. The one wrestler who answered his challenge was Corporal Kage from Parris Island,SC,which BTW is the hometown of WWE Hall of Famer and former WWF(E) Champion Sgt. Slaughter. The match soon commenced as Gibson showed brutality and total disrespect towards Corporal Kage and to the many proud members of the United States Marine Corps whom were watching the match from ringside. Kage did, however, attempted to pin Gibson after taking him down with an Acid Drop top rope bulldog, but it was to no avain as Gibson,in the same way he did to his earlier adversary Dimitri, knocked Corporal Kage right into the middle of next week with another devastating Clothesline From Hades and a 1-2-3 victory. As "Brutal" Joe Gibson arm was being raised in victory,he showed absolute, total disrespect to the referee that presided the numerous matches that took place Frog Lane as he slapped the taste out of his mouth with a bruising big red hand print tattooed across his face as he came to. This was certainly NOT the last that any of the wrestling fans in the audience nor ULTIMATE WRESTLING heard from "Brutal" Joe Gibson or from his dastardly faction known as The Hellfire Club for that matter. More about them a little bit later...... Next up,Match #2 featuring the Pringle Dynasty..... The 2nd match of the night featured St. Bernard,LA native Justin as he took on D.J. Pringle. However,D.J. Pringle did not come towards the ring alone because accompanying him to ringside was none other than his father, the one and the only legendary Percy Pringle III,also worldly known as WWE legend Paul Bearer, manager of the likes of Kane,Mick "Mankind" Foley and The Undertaker;not to mention an array of many a great wrestling champion throughout his illustrious career in his 3 and 1/2 decades being in the wrestling business. Prior to the match taking Taking place, the very distinguished Percy Pringle III was on the microphone proclaiming ULTIMATE WRESTLING to be,and I quote: "ONE OF THE BEST,IF NOT,THE BEST INDY WRESTLING IN THE AREA!". Take it from me,everybody, any words that come out from the mouth of one Percy Pringle III,you know without question and beyond any shadow of a doubt that his words are the Gospel truth and words of his that you can take to the bank! Shortly afterwards, the one-on-one encounter took place between the combatants Justin Stone and D.J. Pringle. Throughout most of the match,Pringle put on a clinical collage of basic wrestling holds and maneuvers;perhaps knowledge he gained being under the influence and tutelage of his legendary father. Pringle showed tremendous focus as well as improvement in his progression in his all around wrestling abilities and capabilities. Stone,on the other hand, resorted to unsportsmanlike tactics to combat the wrestling style of D.J. Pringle. The match ended in such a tragic way as D.J. Pringle went on the top rope attempting to come down on top of Stone with a double axe handle. Stone missed the ax handle as he came down and landed awkwardly on his left ankle. Stone, being the opportunist, capitalized on Pringle's unfortunate misfortune as he simply covered and hooked his leg for the 1-2-3 victory. D.J. Pringle was screaming writhing in obvious, tremendous pain over what appeared to be the time an injury to his left ankle as he was carried off back to the locker room by several UW referees with his very concerned father by his side. The 3rd match of "Retribution" featured the shadowy, masked wrestler known as The Black Wolf as he took on the evil, dark incarnated soul of the wrestler formerly known as Sirus LaVey,now known as Omega. Omega was accompanied to the ring by his manager/valet,"The Venomous Voluptuous Vixen Goddess" and "The 7th Deadly Sin" Vain. As he was about to enter the ring,in the tradition of his childhood hero The Great Kabuki,Omega spun around and sprayed out green mist from his mouth. Prior to the match starting,The Black Wolf ambushed and attacked Omega from behind. Then,he threw Omega out of the ring to take more undue advantage of the golden opportunity that was presented before him. BIG MISTAKE!!! Omega shook off the cobwebs, gathered his wits about him and retaliated on the Black Wolf making him pay for his blatant attacking transgressions. During the match,Omega showed some signs of his former self,Sirus LaVey as he whipped The Black Wolf across the ropes catching him with a hard, vicious kick to the mid-section;which shortly after with a full head of steam catching The Black Wolf with a Dixie Mafia kick to the side of the head of The Black Wolf. It was pretty much all Omega throughout this match-up. Omega finished off The Black Wolf with his finishing maneuver that he calls (for now) "Owari"-which in Japanese means "the end". After that,it was all she wrote as Omega covered and hooked the leg of The Black Wolf for the 1-2-3. The 4th match for ULTIMATE WRESTLINGS "Retribution" was for the Ultimate Wrestling Southern Heavyweight Championship as it featured the challenger Ricky "Rocket" Roberts taking on the Southern Heavyweight Champion,"Mr. Electricity" Jerry Reiner. Reiner, who is ranked #419 in the 2007 issue of the world renowned wrestling publication of Pro Wrestling Illustrated, came to the ring favoring the left side of his neck,a neck that was injured at the beginning of the show due to an unprovoked attack by members of The Hellfire Club. At the beginning of the match,"The Rocket",who claimed that Reiner had been ducking him and averting him from defending his Southern Heavyweight Championship in previous months, gave "Mr. Electricity" an ultimatum....pardon the pun.....to forfeit his title over to him in order to prevent Reiner from perhaps any more further damage to his neck before the ensuing match. As Reiner made his way over to "The Rocket" to shake hands with him,he gave Roberts a kick to the mid-section and the match was on. Jerry Reiner is one that will NEVER lie down to anybody nor give up a title belt that he covets that easily as he fought on bravely and valiantly. However, the aforementioned injured neck that Jerry Reiner had did play a major factor in the match much to the sheer delight of Ricky "Rocket" Roberts as he worked on it persistently through the entire match. The match ended as Jerry Reiner gave Roberts knee a drop kick attempting to connect his Shining Wizard kick to "The Rocket" but "The Rocket" ducked and "Mr. Electricity" missed. Shortly thereafter following a brief struggle,Ricky "Rocket" Roberts connected with his finishing move called "The Trash Compactor". Roberts covered and hooked the leg of Jerry Reiner for the 1-2-3 to become the new Ultimate Wrestling Southern Heavyweight Champion. Following the match for the Southern Heavyweight Championship,Percy Pringle III came to the ring and was on the microphone with a lot on his mind and with plenty to say. PP3 briefly talked about his career and also talked about taking the likes of "Brutal" Joe Gibson under his wing to train him and how it made him sick to his stomach as to what Joe Gibson has become in his career since then. All of a sudden out of nowhere,"Brutal" Joe Gibson came to the ring and brutally attacked a defenseless PP3 from behind with kicks to the mid-section and repeated hard fists to the side of his head. Then,D.J. Pringle who was nursing a bad left right ankle, came hobbling to the ring to avenge his father. By the time that he did,Joe Gibson cut him off at the pass and soon both men went back and forth trading fisticuffs to one another. But then,Gibson attacked the bad left ankle of D.J. Pringle. Showing no remorse or compassion for his actions,Gibson repeatedly used a steel chair to damage Pringle's left ankle a little more further and severe than it was before. Then,Gibson went back to PP3 and began pummeling him some more before. Gibson left the ring was laughing and gloating as to what he had done all the way back in the locker room as all the fans in the audience watched all that transpired in a stunned, shocked state of disbelief. As he came to,PP3 was very understandably livid and infuriated as to what "Brutal" Joe Gibson did to him and to his son. He called out the CEO of ULTIMATE WRESTLING Alexander Hearse III and demanded a match at the December 1st "Deck The Hall" show for Joe Gibson to take on either D.J. Pringle or a wrestler of PP3's choosing. The CEO willingly agreed and the match will take place on Saturday,December 1st! D.J. Pringle was taken to the local hospital as the doctors tended to his badly injured left ankle. At this point in time, the extent to his injury is not known. I'm sure if ULTIMATE WRESTLING has any information as to the extent of his injury, you will definitely be the 1st to know. The 5th match of the night at ULTIMATE WRESTLING's "Retribution" was the semi main event match and another chapter added to the saga between two of the factions of ULTIMATE WRESTLING: THE HELLFIRE CLUB vs. THE BLACKSHEEP It was a one-on-one encounter that featured one of the members of The Hellfire Club "The Career Destroyer" CzR as he took on one of the members of The BlackSheep,C-Note. This was the match where the irresistible force met the immovable object. Both combatants, who display and have tremendous size and power, were both in a stalemate going back and forth administering one power move after another to each other. The turning point in the match occurred when CzR was whipped across to the turnbuckle by C-Note. C-Note attempted to splash CzR in the corner, but at the last second CzR pulled the referee in front of him and C-Note connected. The ref went down unconsciously like a ton of bricks. Then, the leader of The HellFire Club and the General Manager of Ultimate Wrestling,Red "The Enforcer" Anderson ran to the ring and KO'd C-Note with a steel chair to the head. CzR then picked up C-Note and drove him down hard to the canvas with a standing power slam and went for the pin. The referee came to and, with General Manager Anderson hovering over him, forced the referee using abuse of power to make the 3 count and award the match to CzR. Following the match,it was once again the numbers game in favor of The Hellfire Club as Joe Gibson ran down the aisle towards the ring and, along with Anderson and CzR,perpetrated a 3-on-1 beat down attack upon C-Note. Then, both BlackSheep member "Mr. Electricity" Jerry Reiner and the bodyguard to Ultimate Wrestling Chief Executive Officer Alexander Hearse III,"The Airman" T.A. Jones with a steel chair in hand ran to the ring to aid C-Note and cleared it out restoring order as the Hellfire Club ran outside the ring beading a hasty retreat. The 6th and final match of ULTIMATE WRESTLING's "Retribution" was the main event for the Ultimate Wrestling Cruiser weight Championship as the former tag team known as New Era were about to collide. The challenger Maze was going to square off against his former tag team partner, the Ultimate Wrestling Cruiser weight Champion,Cruze....... .....in a TLC match...... TABLES,LADDERS AND CHAIRS This match had..... NO COUNT OUTS NO PINFALLS NO SUBMISSIONS and NO DISQUALIFICATIONS The only way for either man to win this match was for one of them to climb on top of a ladder and retrieve the Cruiser weight Title that was hanging up on a disco ball at the American Legion Hall Post 33 which was up on the ceiling. There has been immense animosity brewing between these two for the past several moths ever since Cruze won the Cruiser weight Championship over 2 Quik back on August 4th at the ULTIMATE WRESTLING "Redemption" show. Maze was under the impression that Cruze's Cruiser weight championship was THEIR belt and pretty much everything between those two has gone downhill from there on ever since. Things really came to a boiling point following New Era's loss to the team of Double Trouble at the "Heads Will Roll" show in October when Maze blamed Cruze for losing the match after Cruze took the losing pinfall to Double Trouble as both men went back and forth trading blows with each other. Which was the reason why the TLC Match took place .... In a possible Gulf Coast Wrestling/ULTIMATE WRESTLING Match Of The Year candidate, both men pulled out all the stops as they used whatever object they used and whatever object they brought to the ring as a weapon to his opposition. Lots of high flying moves from ladders and devastating moves as both men went through one table after another that left the enthralled wrestling fans in the audience in awe. The destruction, the demolition and the excruciating pain that both men inflicted upon each other looked worse than a 10-15 car pileup on I-10 at the Alabama Wallace Tunnel, which is the best graphic description that I could possibly make through what these two men went through. There was a point in the match when it appeared that Maze was going to win the match and become the new Ultimate Wrestling Cruiser weight Champion when he was distracted by Diana Drake, the newly appointed Personal Assistant to the Ultimate Wrestling CEO Alexander Hearse III. Drake made a picture of Maze by superimposing a head of a jackass covering completely over his head and face;something that got on Maze's last reserve nerves to no end when he saw that picture. That distraction by Diana Drake gave Cruze some extra time to recuperate as he threw Maze outside to the ring apron. THEN,YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED NEXT!!! While they were standing on the ring apron outside the ring,Cruze picked up Maze and dropped him like a bad habit as he delivered his finishing move "The Cruze Cruch" driving Maze through a wooden table that was outside on the arena floor. As many of the wrestling fans in the audience screamed, hollered and chanted repeatedly for Cruze to "GET THAT BELT!",Cruze did exactly just that as he climbed to the top of the ladder to retrieve and retain his Ultimate Wrestling Cruiser weight Championship in one very exciting, exhilarating, breathtaking match that wrestling fans whom were there that night will be talking about in weeks, months and years to come!!! |
