| Ultimate Wrestling News and Rumors 10/06/09 IP: 24.254.113.51 Posted on 10/7/2009 at 00:52:20 AM by Ultimate Wrestling News and Rumors Ultimate Wrestling had another fantastic show at the American Legion Post 33 on October 3rd in Pensacola, FL. Big thanks to all of those who came out and watched the show after the enormously successful Ecstasy of Gold Tournament. "Bad Moon Rising" had plenty of EoG fallout. If you missed this show, you missed great matches, a few surprises and wrestling like only Ultimate Wrestling can bring. Thank you for your support! The biggest story coming out of the Ecstasy of Gold was TA Jones and Doug Pitt winning the Tag Team Championship after going through three matches and pulling out an upset victory against Joe Gibson and Cameron Frost, the favorites to win. TA Jones showed up in Pensacola with his Tag Team Belt proudly strapped around his waist. Unfortunately, "Pure" Doug Pitt was not able to make the show, but TA Jones was ready to take on anybody. Diana Drake-Hearse introduced one half of the new champions, and Jones came out to thunderous applause. Jones then gave a very honest, heartfelt promo to the people of Pensacola. He thanked them for supporting him from day one. Win or lose, the people had his back, and he'll never forget that. He said when he goes to the ring, he brings them with him. "The Ultimate Legend" Bobby Doll had apparently heard enough and interrupted "Ultimate Wrestling's First Son" TA Jones. Doll immediately got into the face of Jones and Diana Drake-Hearse. Doll had heard enough and told everyone that if he wasn't screwed out of the title, Jones would never have won them. Doll, who has been verbally going back and for the with the Hearse's, figured that Hearse would put Jones against Doll in singles competition. Bobby Doll completely destroyed TA Jones for 99% of the match. Doll kept taunting Jones, telling him that his win was a fluke and that he was going to beat respect into him. In a moment of complete arrogance, Bobby Doll let his guard down, and TA Jones pinned Bobby Doll with a small package...a very simple move that Bobby Doll would've taught TA Jones on the first day of training two years ago at the Ultimate Wrestling training academy. "Brutal" Joe Gibson and "The Master of Devastation" Cameron Frost are the number one contenders for the Ultimate Wrestling Tag Team Championship. Gibson and Frost might be the most impressive team that Ultimate Wrestling has ever seen, and anybody who was at "Bad Moon Rising" on October 3rd clearly saw that Gibson and Frost are on the same page and are working very well together. Frost and Gibson have a lot of respect for Pitt and Jones, but both have said that they feel that the current Ultimate Wrestling Tag Team Champions got lucky in Milton at the Ecstasy of Gold. Signed for Milton, Florida on October 24th at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium is the main event rematch from the Ecstasy of Gold as "Brutal" Joe Gibson and "The Master of Devastation" Cameron Frost take on the current Ultimate Wrestling Tag Team Champions "Pure" Doug Pitt and "Mr. USA" TA Jones. Are Jones and Pitt a fluke? Will Joe Gibson become the first ever Grand Slam Champion of Ultimate Wrestling? So much is riding on this rematch. 259 days. That's how long "The Former Sinner" Nick Virtue will have held the Ultimate Wrestling Heavyweight Championship on October 24th. News and Rumors has found out that Aeon Flexx has been trying to get a rematch for the Ultimate Wrestling title. Virtue and Flexx had a very strong match in Pensacola with a questionable finish. Flexx was going for a sunset flip over the top rope. Virtue was able to stop the momentum and sit straight down. While Frog Lane was watching Flexx's shoulders, Virtue was able to get leverage by pushing on the second rope. Flexx told the ref what happened, but in Ultimate Wrestling, the referee's decisions are final. Nick Virtue claims that he beat Flexx, and he doesn't deserve another title shot. No matches have been confirmed for either man in Milton, but News and Rumors have heard that another champion in Ultimate Wrestling is looking for a shot at the Heavyweight Title. "The Story of the Year" Brian Caige is still un-pinned and un-submitted. Carlos D'Angelo put his X-Factor Title on the line on October 3rd and was unable to pin or submit "The Story of the Year" in Pensacola. Fans and management feel that Carlos and Caige had match of the night. Caige showed up with something to prove, but D'Angelo's running knee caused Caige to spill to the outside and connect with the guard rails. Cage was not able to answer the referee's 10 count and the match was awarded to Carlos D'Angelo. "The Feature" was visibly upset with himself for not being able to pin or submit Caige. Everyone on the Ultimate Wrestling roster wants a shot at Caige so they can end his streak as well as shut him up. Who on the roster can finally pin Caige's shoulders to the mat for three seconds? Bian Caige will be in Milton on October 24th in singles action, putting his streak on the line. Quick News and Rumors Marcus Gibbs had a very hard hitting match with Justin Stone. Stone thought that the possibility of a fun respectful match was in the cards being that Gibbs and Stone were tag team partners about a year ago. Gibbs made it very clear that he wanted no part of the fun and games. Stone tapped out to a Sleeper Clutch. Marcus said that Stone was an example. "BTY" Colby Godwin showed respect and honor in his re-debut in Ultimate Wrestling when he took on The Black Wolf. Rumor floating around the office is that Colby Godwin is being awarded a match against Carlos D'Angelo for the X-Factor title in the future. Turbo Ted lost his match against Jet Angel when he refused to break a hold. The referee counted to 5, and Ted still had the hold locked on. Turbo Ted said that he was teaching Jet Angel respect and will continue to treat "new guys" that way. The newly signed Tag Team that has been teasing a debut did not show up in Pensacola. News and Rumors has been trying to find out ANY information on this tag tear who has an automatic title shot when they arrive. The only information that this reporter can get from anybody is that the team has promised to cause "a lot of trouble." |
