Huge congratulations go out to “Mr. USA” T.A. Jones and “Pure” Doug Pitt for capturing the Ultimate Wrestling Tag Team Championship. It’s been a very hard road for both Jones and Pitt, but it just goes to show that hard work, dedication and a “never say die” attitude can get you far. Once again, thanks to everyone who made the show a smashing success. Ultimate Wrestling thrives on giving the best possible wrestling shows on the Gulf Coast and fans and critics are all agreeing the Ecstasy of Gold was a top notch show. Just like the PWA in 2002, Ultimate Wrestling made new memories in the Santa Rosa County Auditorium. Thank you! Sixteen wrestlers showed up to the Santa Rosa County Auditorium on September 12th. Sixteen men put their name into the drawing. Sixteen men competed and fought their hearts out for Championship gold. It came down to four men. “Brutal” Joe Gibson and Cameron Frost went through their block of the tournament fairly easily. The tandem of the two former X-Factor Champions gelled extremely well and fans were calling a Gibson/Frost victory from the moment the two were paired together. TA Jones and Doug Pitt spent most of the tournament getting beaten up. Current Heavyweight Champion Nick Virtue and current Number one contender Aeon Flexx were paired together. The two gulf coast vets put a beating on Jones and Pitt but after a communication breakdown, the action spilled to the outside. The action on the outside was between the two partners. After a 10 count, Pitt and Jones were declared the winners, but were both laying on their backs. The same result happened after Deathrow destroyed Jones, Pitt and his team mate, Justin Stone, after a quick roll up by Pitt. Pitt and Jones made it to the finals, but nobody thought they would be able to perform. In a match too exciting for words, TA Jones pinned Joe Gibson in what people are calling the upset of the year. Jones and Pitt were mobbed by fans as they made their way to the backstage area. It was truly a special moment that had to be seen live. Jones and Pitt now are focusing on keeping their titles for as long as possible. Ultimate Wrestling has been in contact with many wrestlers along the Gulf Coast. Ultimate Wrestling wants to bring you only the best talent. Ultimate Wrestling is happy to announce that a very reputable young star has been signed. This wrestler will be debuting on October 3rd in Pensacola at the American Legion Post 33. This man has held gold in every promotion he’s worked for and is known as one of the most intense wrestlers on the coast. The sky is the limit for this “Hybrid” style wrestler when he joins the Ultimate Wrestling full time roster. Three letters. B. T. Y. Ultimate Wrestling News and Rumors is happy to announce the signing of “BTY” Colby Godwin! Colby has wrestled a few shows for Ultimate Wrestling but now is focused on staying for the long haul, making an impact and most importantly, winning gold. Be there on October 3rd to welcome back Colby Godwin to Ultimate Wrestling. News and Rumors caught wind of ANOTHER signing but management is being very tight lipped about it. The rumor going around the office is that Ultimate Wrestling has signed a tag team, but the tag team would only sign under three conditions. Those conditions have leaked and News and Rumors are MORE than happy to report them. Given the shear magnitude of these conditions, News and Rumors can only guess that the tag team in question is very established, formidable team. The first term is that the team CAN NOT be announced. They said they want to come in as a big surprise for the fans…and a big surprise to anybody in the tag team title hunt. The second term is that they’ll debut “when they want to”. They will announce when they will make their debut. The third term is that upon their arrival at Ultimate Wrestling, they will receive and immediate tag team title shot. Ultimate Management has been know to play hardball during negations, so News and Rumors can only speculate that this team asked for a lot more…and are probably worth the headache. Quick News and rumors Two title matches have been signed for October 3rd in Pensacola. Number 1 Contender Aeon Flexx will challenge for Nick Virtue’s Ultimate Wrestling Heavyweight Championship. As of October 3rd, Virtue will have held the UW Heavyweight Title for 243 days. Flexx has a lot of momentum going into this match as he beat Bobby Doll in two straight falls on September 5th. Virtue and Flexx were paired together during The Ecstasy of Gold and the team disambiguated after a few miscommunications. “The Feature” Carlos D’Angelo has been a fighting champion from the moment he won the X-Factor Title. Carlos has beaten opponent after opponent with pride and integrity. “The Story of the Year” Brian Caige has not been pinned or submitted his entire pro career. Caige feels that he should be rewarded with title shots. Management agrees. Carlos’ official statement is “Caige likes to talk. Mostly about himself. I’m going to be the first guy to pin his shoulders to the mat. Believe me when I tell you this, Caige’s streak will end on October 3rd.” Bobby Doll had some very interesting words to say on an exclusive Front Row Fanatics interview. Rumor is that Bobby Doll will have some very interesting things to say about his career, his injury and the Ecstasy of Gold tournament live in Pensacola. Joe Gibson and Cameron Frost will be in action as a team in Pensacola on October 3rd. Management is VERY pleased with the performance of this team and a re-match for the Ultimate Wrestling Tag Team Titles will be happening sooner than later. Deathrow has claimed that after his recent loses, he’s getting his focus and will be a “monster on a warpath straight from hell.”
