"The Former Sinner" Nick Virtue

Title History:
Ultimate Wrestling Heavyweight Champion
HPW United States Champion
Two Time IWC Tag Team Champion

Nick Virtue is another one of those guys going into this tournament looking
to make history. “The Former Sinner” is currently the Ultimate Wrestling
Heavyweight Champion and wants to be the first double champion in Ultimate
Wrestling’s existence. Virtue feels that he is better than the entire
Ultimate Wrestling roster, as a wrestler and as a person. Virtue has held Tag Team Gold
before, but has never even had a shot at it in UW. Along with Maze, Nick Virtue made
history in Milton when he was involved in the Match of the Year of 2002. Virtue certainly
has staying power as a singles wrestler as he is the longest reigning Ultimate Wrestling
Heavyweight
Champion to date, at 10 months, but will that mean he can work well with
others in a tag team format? Once again, fate and luck play a huge part in
this very special tournament. If Nick is lucky enough, he’ll get a partner
who not only wants it as bad as him, but has the ability.
Chance of winning based on percent: 75%

"The Canadian Superstar" Aeon Flexx

Title History:
Five Time AWF (Chipley) Heavyweight Champion
Two Time XW 2000 Heavyweight Champion
Two Time AWF (Mobile) Heavyweight Champion
Two Time DSPW Heavyweight Champion
One Time CCW Heavyweight Champion
Two Time SCCW Heavyweight Champion

Flexx is no stranger to gold. In the early summer of 2009 Aeon Flexx and
his partner Rikki Rocket were going into Ultimate Wrestling’s debut Milton
show with a ton of steam to face The Ultimate Legends for the Tag Team
Titles. Insiders say that The Legends’ time was up and Flexx and Rocket
would’ve walked out of Milton as new champs, finally dethroning the champs
after a year of reigning over the entire division. Rocket was seriously
injured by Bobby Doll just two weeks before their big match for the titles.
Bobby Doll claims that they never lost the title, but Flexx claims he never
had the opportunity to win them. Everyone is now on an even playing field
and now that Flexx has settled his score with Bobby Doll, he is looking to
take what he feels he was never given a chance at.
Chance of winning based on percent: 80%

TA Jones

Title History:
CSW United States Champion
2007 Ultimate Wrestling Rookie of the Year

“Ultimate Wrestling’s First Son” TA Jones is more focused than he’s ever
been. Jones has been in a bit of a rut lately. Jones doesn’t have the most
impressive win/loss record but he’s still heavily cheered by Ultimate
Wrestling fans. Sometimes, it seems that the fans want the “big win” for Jones more than
he does. TA Jones feels like he has a lot to prove in Milton on
September 12th. TA Jones’ record does not help his odds in the Ecstasy of
Gold tournament. If Jones is lucky enough to get paired with a vet who can
help him along the way, then his odds go up. Whether Jones wins or loses,
look for him to give 110% and never back down.
Chance of winning based on percent: 35%

Jet Angel

Title History:
N/A

“The High Flying” Jet Angel has been wowing Ultimate Wrestling fans over
the past few months with his quickness and his ability to take to the air
like an F-14. He has a pretty good record going into the Ecstasy of Gold
Tournament but his loss on September 5th to “The Bruiserweight” Maze
certainly has killed some of his momentum going into this very important
opportunity. Little is known of Jet Angle’s tag team wrestling background.
Jet is also very new to the UW locker room. Will Jet Angel be able to adapt
on September 12th when he has to work with somebody he doesn’t know very
well?
Chance of winning based on percent: 45%

As you can see, there is a lot riding on this very special night in
Ultimate Wrestling. This writer wishes he knew exactly who was going to be in
the tournament. The competitors that were highlighted were strictly the
ones that have been at the most recent shows. The UW fans may see some new
faces and they may see some old faces. One thing is for sure, it’s going to
be a very special night where new alliances will be formed and current ones might be
destroyed. Thank you for making Ultimate Wrestling the best
wrestling promotion on the gulf coast. See you in Milton!
